
Thailand extends visa-free entry to Indian and Taiwanese tourists for six months

As detailed by Reuters, this choice follows a past move in September to wipe out visa prerequisites for Chinese vacationers, who were a critical wellspring of guests before the pandemic, representing 11 million out of the record 39 million appearances in 2019.
“Arrivals from India and Taiwan can enter in Thailand for 30 days,” spokesperson Chai Wacharonke said.
As per the latest government information, Thailand welcomed or invited 22 million guests/visitors between January and October 29, resulting in a revenue of 927.5 billion baht (equivalent to $25.67 billion).
P.M. Srettha Thavisin informed reporters that travelers for Indians and Taiwanese will enjoy visa-free entry to Thailand from November 10th to May 10th this year, Bloomberg reported or announced.This choice came following a bureau meeting, determined to help the travel industry in the country.
As per the latest information from the Travel industry Authority of Thailand, vacationers from Malaysia have been the biggest gathering of guests this year, with north of 3 million appearances.
They are followed by Chinese tourists, who were the largest group of visitors to Thailand before the pandemic, with 2.65 million arrivals as of October 15.
Recently, the travel industry organization in Thailand projected that the number of Chinese tourists is anticipated to reach between 4 to 4.4 million in the year 2023.
Prior to October 24, the Sri Lanka Bureau supported giving free visas to India, China, Russia, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia, and Thailand with quick impact as a pilot project until 31 Walk, tweeted the Chief of International Concerns of Sri Lanka, Ali Sabry.
The minister stated that the pilot project, which commenced immediately, will extend until March 31, 2024.
