How to apply for Maldives Tourist Visa?
We already know that the Maldives visa on arrival which is valid for a month. One must log in to the website and check for the regular process update. To get that visa after you reach Male, you must produce some documents like
✅Tickets that have been confirmed to fly out of the Maldives at the end of your trip.
✅A valid passport with a validity period of six months from the time of arrival in the Maldives.
✅Confirmed hotel reservation and the vouchers that confirm the same.
You might have to show the same at the immigration counter.
The Department of Immigration always reserves the right to allow you a stay of fewer than 30 days. In case you wish to extend the stay, a written application, 2 days prior to your visa expiry, can be submitted. You may then get new visa approval for the next 60 days or less, as the need may be. The department may reject or approve the application or request for a visa.

You get a visa on arrival, hence as such, there is no processing time. It is just that the Department of Immigration and Emigration will check for your stay details. You will be permitted to have the time of your life in the Maldives if everything is found to be in order:
Visa Cost for Maldives
A tourist visa issued on arrival for 30 days’ time is absolutely free of charge. A fee of INR 3350 (or MVR 750) is to be paid in case of an extension of the visa for 90 days.
Documents Required for Maldives Visa
The documentation required for the Maldives visit visa includes:
- Original passport with a validity period of at least six months beyond the travel date. The passport must have a minimum of 3 blank pages. Also, carry all old passports, if any.
- Proof of accommodation
- A confirmed return or onward ticket from the Maldives.
- Two passport-size recent colored photographs that are 35mm in width and 44mm in length. The face should be clearly visible.
- Sufficient funds to cover the planned stay in the Maldives
- The traveler must complete and submit a health declaration within 72 hours of the flight time.
When To travel?
The best time to visit the Maldives is between November and April, outside of the monsoon season.

No, an Indian Passport holder does not need to carry a visa when travelling to Maldives. It will be issued once you reach the country.
The Maldives Government does not levy any charge for issuing visa on arrival for Indian citizens. However, to extend your visa, you need to make a payment of Rs 3,350.
Along with a passport that is valid for the next six months, an Indian travelling to the Maldives should also mandatorily carry a return ticket, reservation confirmation for staying at a hotel or a tourist resort, along with sufficient funds, i.e., US$100 and $50 for each day.
A maximum duration for which a visa on arrival is issued to Indians travelling to the Maldives is 30 days, with scope for extension of up to 60 days.
