There are 800 days of waiting time for tourist visas because of the Covid-19 pandemic, according to the US Ministry

After External Affairs Minister of India Mr. Jaishankar concerns US Ministry gave assurance to reduce tourist visa backlog time

It was assured by the US Ministry that the US is improving its tourist visa application backlog for Indian Nationals on immediate basis

This problem will take a couple of months to resolve, and other visa categories will also be addressed
